How do your services align with Australian Standards?

Everything we do is aligned with modern safety methods and best practice including AS/NZS ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems) and AS/NZS ISO 45003 (Psychological Health and Safety at Work). This means any knowledge, tools, or systems you develop with our support reflect current best practice and Australian Standards from day one.

Do I need a formal safety qualification to use your services?

No. Our services are designed for people at all levels of safety knowledge, from business owners who are just getting started to those looking to develop more advanced safety leadership skills. We meet you where you are.

What is the Tasmanian Safety Leaders Program?

The Tasmanian Safety Leaders Program is an eight-week masterclass designed for business owners, managers, HR and WHS officers in small and medium businesses who want to build genuine safety leadership capability. It is delivered three times a year, with 20 free places available per intake.

How much help can I get from the support service?

Each business can access up to five hours of free advice, assistance, and coaching per calendar year. If your needs are more complex, our team can also connect with you with our specialist safety partners who can provide more detailed and ongoing support within that allocation.

How do I contact the advisory service?

You can reach our advisory team Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, by calling 1300 246 812, email, or by submitting an online enquiry. You can also book an appointment for a Zoom call, an in-person consultation, or a site visit.

How much does it cost?

Nothing. All One Safe Tasmania services are completely free to access. Our services are funded by the WorkCover Board Tasmania as part of a grant program to improve workplace health and safety outcomes across the state.

Who can access One Safe Tasmania services?

Our services are available to small and medium sized businesses operating in Tasmania. This includes sole traders, partnerships, and companies across all industries, from construction and hospitality to retail, healthcare, and transport.

What is One Safe Tasmania?

One Safe Tasmania is a free, independent workplace health and safety support service for small and medium businesses across Tasmania. We are funded through the WorkCover Board Tasmania, so there is no cost to access our services.
